I want to keep using Iasis, needs improvement
« on: March 02, 2009, 06:12:58 am »
Looks good so far, just started using the program. It is lacking drug interactions, ICD9 listing for patient diagnosis and and invoice generator to bill patients, maybe even a prescription writer.
I have not been able to get the reminders and appointment sections to work. I'll keep tring.
A users guide would be nice.
If you want this to be used in the USA you will need to be HIPAA complient.

It is lacking drug interactions

we are trying to find a ready and trustable-free solution to work with via internet, before to start to build our own!!! is a very big task

ICD9 listing for patient diagnosis

ICD9 And ICD10 this is matter to discuss i think not approved of all health providers and we have to find a solution to make it optional

I see that this review and reply was back in March 2009. It's now Dec 2009 and the issues concerning ver 1.0.0.294. Now the version is 1.0.0.343. Have any of the issues concerning lack of drug interactions and prescription writer addressed in the latest version? Is it possible then to add/customise the drug list and interactions (ie. build up ones own drug database) etc?

hello sinned
everything is related to the usage of iasis free emr project (until now 66 activated users check it here Iasis Free EMR-EHR PMS Activated Users).

After cabodoc's post a drugs database implemented (took more than 6 months )with Descriptions,Indications, drug to drug interactions, drug to food interactions and other useful info's.

A flat version of this drug database can be found in iasisnet.org  forums under the category *Drugs ---> Drugs Reference the database contains more than 4700 entries, you can easly locate what you need using the Search procedures of these forums.

The "Drug Reference" database implemented having in mind to serve iasis free emr users providing the functionability side by side with a prescription writer.
When we will be ready we will continue the development to provide an easy to use tool inside iasis free emr.
